Sponsored through Community Action Coalition. Food Fair is a modified food buying club, which buys food items in bulk at cheaper rates. A package of food costs $15.00 and usually includes 3-4 meat items, 68 produce items (fresh fruits and vegetables) and milk and bread. Payment for the package is due at the beginning of the month, then distribution is made toward the end of each month through 25 sites in Dane and Jefferson Counties. Yahara House is a membership based, psycho-social rehabilitation program that offers adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses a path to recovery, through relationships and work. Fashioned after the Fountain House model, Yahara House provides opportunities for members to contribute their time and skills in a friendly and businesslike environment, with members helping each other become re-integrated into the community.

Open throughout the week and on every holiday, the clubhouse provides vocational training, and a transitional employment program that provides members with experience at half-time entry level jobs in the community. Yahara House also also offers case management and medication services. Evening and weekend programs provide opportunities for socialization.
