Open throughout the week and on holidays, Yahara House is a clubhouse and job
center governed by its consumer members. Members do much of the work of maintaining
and running the clubhouse, with the support of a trained staff of medical care
providers and job counselors. Operating the clubhouse provides vocational training,
plus a transitional employment program provides members with experience at half-time
entry level jobs in the community. Evening and weekend programs provide opportunities
for socialization.

services to indigent persons facing criminal charges or probation revocation
in Dane County. The students work under the supervision of the director, who
is an attorney and Law School professor, and three other attorneys. Inmates
