2019 Board Elections & Bylaws Changes

This year, there are two (2) candidates that can be elected to serve three-year terms for seven (6) board seats. The Board can have up to 15 members; there are 10 current members. Five current board members’ regular terms will expire and their seats come up for general election: one member have served two terms and cannot seek re-election; the other has served a single term and may or may not seek re-election.

Additionally, the Board is proposing changes to Section 3 of the current bylaws. Section 3: Mission Statement reads: NAMI Dane County, Inc.  is  a Wisconsin  non-stock corporation that is dedicated to supporting and empowering everyone affected by mental illness. We commit to eliminate stigma and facilitate recovery through education, support, advocacy and outreach. The proposed change is: NAMI Dane County, Inc.  is  a Wisconsin  non-stock corporation that provides education, support, and advocacy for people affected by mental illness in Dane County.

Election results will be reported at the March 26, 2019 Annual Meeting. Results will also be posted on www.namidanecounty.org/voting/.

  1. Read the candidate profiles which includes the reasons the candidate came to NAMI and why s/he is running for the board.

  2. Complete the voting process by March 20, 2019 here. *You must be a member to vote.
